Refer to post #18 - the BBC did it because too few people were using those specific services - presumably the same applies to ITV?. Fairly obviously they have accurate data on the number of users, one advantage of IPTV - so if hardly any users are using specific services it makes sense to close them, and spend the money on services that make money.
